
Located in a natural mangrove lagoon in 30 feet (9 meters) of water. It shares the lagoon with MarineLab, an underwater research and education laboratory owned by the Marine Resources Development Foundation. These are the only two underwater habitats operating in the entire world. Both habitats are used in the Leagues Beyond SCUBA dive technology & underwater adventure program
In 1986 Jules' Undersea Lodge made history when two former research aquanauts, Ian Koblick and Neil Monney, opened it as the world's first and only underwater hotel.
Guests must scuba dive to enter the hotel. A three hour Discover Diving class is available to qualify guests who are not certified divers. Complete dive certification and specialty training programs are also available.
